Joan is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Engineering with an Intermediate Proficiency Certificate in Korean. In the fall of 2019, she will be studying in South Korea at Seoul National University. She chose to study abroad in South Korea because the country is highly advanced in science and technology. One of her academic goals is to better understand how South Korea is solving environmental issues through green engineering. Professionally, she hopes to help alleviate environmental issues around the world. While in Korea, she hopes to gain green knowledge and proficiency in Korean.
